Dr. Ray Newman is Executive Vice President-Corporate Client Development Group-U.S. Mid-Central Region for the New Millennium Group (NMG). His expansive background includes 30 years of experience in senior executive positions in operations, consulting, and education.

career positions include serving as: Vice Chancellor for Administration and Finance at Tulane University in New Orleans; Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of Parkland Hospital System in Dallas; and Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of St. Luke's/Roosevelt Hospital Center in New York City. He has worked in private, public, and non-profit settings; and in stand-alone, as well as multi-institutional and hospital chain organizations.
Ray was a visiting professor at NYU where he taught health economics and finance. He also was a finance professor and director of the graduate health management program at a private Connecticut college. He currently holds a clinical professor appointment in the Health Systems Management department at Tulane's School of Public Health & Tropical Medicine.
Ray has been active in professional associations at the local, state, and national levels, holding several key leadership positions, including Chairman of the Board of the National Association of Public Hospitals, headquartered in Washington, D.C. He has provided testimony before congressional committees on health issues, authored several articles, and been a frequent speaker and presenter at professional conferences. Additionally, he is active in volunteering with The Albert Schweitzer Institute for the Humanities, serving with the Ministry of Health and for remote facilities for the Republic of Suriname, South America, and for countries in Eastern Europe. |
